i havent seen my dad more than a couple times in the past 5 years (let alone speak of anything real to him) and he's upset that he didnt get anything so much as a greeting on father's day from me or my brother. i mean, it's ... somewhat understandable. ungh, not like i got a call from him on my birthday or christmas or anything .. tho i guess i dont care as much as he does.
it's ironic that this comes up on the very day that i buy a gift for my mom of all people just cuz i thought of her when i saw a nice coffee mug. it's cuz i dont even like designated gift-giving days specific to certain people. presents are so much nicer and worthwhile if they're given spontaneously thoughtout the year, not just artificially and forced.
