Last night I stood in the front yard with 2% milk dribbling into my hair. Then I think I heard someone's AIM "receiving message" sound from across the street, which isn't quite like the hooting of an owl but still serves as an equivalent. I walked back into the house and into the shower.
When someone messages me on AIM, I hear the little "beepbip" noise you hear in Earthbound when you pick up a present. The reverse "bipbeep" of opening a present is sounded when I send a message to you.
