me: did you play Carmen Sandiego on the computer as a kid?
eli: haha im not sure, but i definitely watched the show
me: because in Liverpool, the police sirens are EXACTLY THE SAME as the police sirens in Carmen Sandiego
eli: hahahaha what a memory
me: and so i think "wow! a crime is being committed, and it sounds really cool!"
Do you think maybe Carmen was just a klepto that wanted to get caught? And so her base of operations was in San Diego, but no one ever looked for her there? Perhaps she is there even now, sitting sad and alone among her treasures like a trenchcoated redheaded Citizen Kane.
