tonight i watched the NASA space station pass through orion's belt at the observatory.
spectacular tiny thing, it was.

oh, and looking at jupiter (and its moons) through the school's big expensive telescope is pretty much the same as looking at it through the wobbly $100 telescope i had as a kid (though i must admit it's cool to watch the observatory's roof move).

it was nice to look at the stars and stuff, but back then it was much more interesting to use its power to watch that guy across the street eating soup.
